HerHalo is designed without an account. Health journal information is stored on your iPhone, Apple Health access is optional, and we do not sell health information or use it for targeted advertising.
1. Who we are
HerHalo is a women’s wellness and personal organization application operated by Nawa Europe (“HerHalo”, “we”, “us” or “our”). For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@nawaeurope.com.
This notice applies to the HerHalo iOS application, its widgets and Live Activities, and this website at herhalo.nawaeurope.com.
2. Information used by the HerHalo app
Information you choose to enter
You may choose to enter a first name, life stage, daily mood, energy, discomfort, cycle and flow information, symptoms, private notes, care reminders, appointment information, and trusted-contact names and telephone numbers. This information may reveal health or other sensitive information.
Apple Health information
If you explicitly connect Apple Health, HerHalo may request permission to read selected categories such as step count, sleep, resting heart rate and menstrual flow. Apple presents a separate permission control for each supported data type. You can refuse access and continue using the app, or withdraw access at any time in iOS Settings or the Health app.
Safety and device features
If you start a journey check-in, the app processes the start time, selected duration and completion state to schedule a local reminder and display a Live Activity. HerHalo does not continuously monitor your location, automatically contact emergency services or silently send a message to a trusted contact. Telephone calls and messages require your confirmation through iOS.
Notifications, widgets and Live Activities
Notification permission is optional. Daily reminders and journey reminders are scheduled locally. Widgets use a limited, neutral summary—such as whether a check-in exists, a non-medical balance value and a generic care title. HerHalo is designed not to place symptom, cycle, mood, note or contact details on a locked screen.
3. Where app information is stored
The current version stores your HerHalo profile, journal, care plan and trusted contacts locally on your device. HerHalo does not require an account and does not upload this journal to a Nawa Europe server. We do not store personal health information in iCloud. Information you choose to share using the iOS share sheet, Messages, Phone or another app is handled by the service you select and is subject to that service’s privacy practices.
4. Why information is used
HerHalo uses information only to provide features you request: saving your journal, showing trends and cautious wellness reflections, preparing a visit summary, maintaining your care plan, displaying widgets, protecting the app with device authentication, and running user-initiated journey check-ins.
Where European data-protection law applies, local health-data processing is performed at your direction and on the basis of your explicit choice to enter information or grant Apple Health permission. You can withdraw those choices by removing entries, disconnecting Apple Health or deleting all HerHalo data.
5. Website information
This presentation website does not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, marketing pixels or contact forms. When you visit, ordinary technical information—such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp and security events—may be processed automatically by our hosting and network providers to deliver and protect the site. We use this information for security, reliability and abuse prevention, and do not connect it with an in-app health journal.
The site does not intentionally set non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary security or load-balancing cookies may be used only to deliver and protect the requested service.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or license health information. We do not disclose HealthKit information to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Limited website technical data may be handled by service providers that host, secure or deliver this site. We may disclose information if legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction where legally permitted. Because the current app journal is not uploaded to us, we generally do not possess that journal to disclose.
7. Retention and deletion
App journal information remains on your device until you delete individual entries, use the in-app “Delete all HerHalo data” control, or remove the app. Apple Health information remains governed by your settings and the Apple Health store. Temporary website security and access logs may be retained for the period reasonably needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, and longer where required by law.
8. Security
HerHalo minimizes collection, stores the journal locally, supports device-owner authentication, uses Apple permission controls and avoids unnecessary third-party SDKs. No device or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device passcode, keep iOS updated and avoid sharing visit summaries with people you do not trust.
9. Your choices and rights
You can decline Apple Health and notification permissions, change permissions in iOS, edit information you entered, export a visit summary, disable device authentication and delete the local journal. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and complaint to a supervisory authority.
Because we do not receive the app journal, the most direct way to exercise control over it is on your device. For website-data or other privacy requests, email privacy@nawaeurope.com. We may need to verify a request before responding.
10. International processing
Website infrastructure providers may process limited technical data in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers. The in-app journal remains on your device unless you deliberately share it through another service.
11. Age limits
The initial HerHalo release is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review the situation.
12. Health and emergency boundaries
HerHalo is a wellness organization tool. It does not diagnose, provide treatment, determine medication dosage, provide contraception, continuously monitor safety, or replace a doctor, mental-health professional or local emergency service. If you believe you are in danger or experiencing a medical emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when the product, law or service providers change. We will publish the new effective date and, where appropriate, provide an in-app notice before a material change takes effect.
